* not remotely true, BUT they have more butt action than the rest of Blyton’s entire oevre put together, and Blyton was almost as prolific as Dr Tingle.

Asian-Australian Self Care
It’s been a hard little while, right? We’ve had to deal with Pauline Hanson, and a whole lot of ugliness, and some gross Islamaphobia right here, normalised in our media, and it’s been hard. It’s still hard.
Sometimes activism gets tiring, and you feel pathetic and useless when you need to take a break. But it’s important. (I had to go on holidays, for a number of reasons; not least because my counselor thought I was burnt out from 24/7 activism)
Sometimes you can’t go on holidays, but you still need to look after yourself.

This is two weeks because Liz didn’t post this last week; she was too busy having fun in the world (legit).
No Award watches Cleverman 1.05 and 1.06
This week on Cleverman, Liz realises that the time difference whilst Steph was travelling meant she couldn’t frantically text her thoughts to Stephanie; Nerida and Linda continue to be smarter and more competent than the men of the family (sadly, we don’t get to see much of Alinta); Blair makes a truly terrible pun; Kora calls Koen an arse; Sloan continues to be deplorably boring and Steph texts ‘wow WOW’ to Liz quite a lot.
Because we had to wait until Steph’s return to Australia to review these, we’re reviewing them together, plus a season overall.
