This week, we’re talking about the Homeless Ban in the City of Melbourne, where a proposal has been put forward to basically ban people from sleeping in the CBD. It’s an ongoing part of Melbourne’s campaign against homeless people (rather than homelessness). Beneath the fold we’ve got further reading and some action points.

This weekend, Liz and Steph stayed home due to finances and weather. This means that for the first time, they tackled (GET IT) the AFL live stream.
This weekend the Jaipur Literary Festival came to Melbourne, hosted by the Melbourne Writer’s Festival. This was a free event, with a full day of panels and activities, and so of course Stephanie attended. Below the fold: Writing Travel, and From the Margins to the Mainland.

Behind the fold: this week in AFL, including our personal highlights, and why everyone is hating on Eddie (short answer: because he’s awful. long answer: because we deserve better).
Also please welcome to the inaugural use of the sports category (rather than just the tag — Steph will go through and recategorise old posts as appropriate shortly).
Just a small linkspam this week, because apparently Donald Trump stole all our spoons.
